16th April 2026 Accrington Stanley Football Club
30th April 2026 Oxford Kassam Stadium
In partnership with Digi International and Silicon Labs, Solsta will host a series of seminars at two UK locations in April 2026, focused on scalable mesh networking for applications such as smart cities, infrastructure, remote monitoring, utilities, warehousing, and agritech.
Taking place in Oxford and Accrington, these informative sessions will explore and compare different approaches to designing secure, low-power wireless communication systems. Attendees will gain practical insight into how modern technologies enable safe, reliable connectivity for connected devices.

What will the seminars cover?
The agenda begins with an introduction to the fundamentals of RF communications, including commonly used frequencies and protocols for Smart Cities, Utilities and Industrial IoT applications.
Digi International will then provide a deeper look into the Digi XBee ecosystem, covering development environments, processing capabilities and application frameworks. The session will also highlight edge intelligence, remote access and real-world end-to-end use cases, from sensor to cloud.
Wi-SUN (Wireless Smart Utility Network) is a wireless communication standard designed to deliver seamless connectivity between smart grid and industrial devices. Featuring a highly secure, scalable, self-forming and self-healing mesh topology, Wi-SUN enables global interoperability while simplifying certification.
Silicon Labs will introduce Wi-SUN in more detail, comparing it with alternative technologies, presenting their Wi-SUN product portfolio and showcasing practical end-user applications.
Throughout the day, working demonstrations will be available, with the team on hand during breaks to walk through the setups and answer questions.
