Robustel’s EV8100 is an advanced 4G router, VoIP gateway & embedded PC all in one. One of it’s primary application is for use in elevators but EV8100 is finding use in many other applications driven by the shutdown of PSTN networks and the 2G/3G sunsets globally. Other applications include connecting taxi-callers, warden systems, roadside emergency call, traffic systems, lone worker and general telemetry services. EV8100 is also Robustel’s first 4G router with an integrated UPS (battery back-up) that allows the device to keep running for up to a day after power loss & send alerts to let operatives know that there has been a power loss event. Robustel’s EV8100 can turn voice (and DTMF tones) from ANY analogue phone or dialler into packetised voice using VoIP (SIP) or VoLTE - these options are user selectable. This means any legacy communication system using a PSTN line can be easily transformed into a low cost 4G based solution. Another reason users need the EV8100 is because of the 2G/3G sunset and removal of CSD (Circuit Switched Data) from cellular networks globally. EV8100 allows users to seamlessly upgrade existing telephone equipment to a modern packet-switched solution. EV8100 supports Docker for easy deployment of applications and benefits from ‘RobustOS Pro’ – Robustel’s latest Linux Debian bullseye based router OS with enhanced cybersecurity, advanced GUl and a myriad of software features including VPNs, Smart Roaming, SMS remote control and more. RCMS is Robustel’s free router monitoring service that is fully compatible with the EV8100. lt allows customers to see a location overview of their routers quickly and simply on a map.
