We are deeply saddened by the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and send our condolences to the Royal Family.
We are grateful to have had Queen Elizabeth as our monarch for so long, and for the incomparable legacy she leaves the nation and the world. The Queen was a charming and gracious head of state – a capable woman with an astute mind and a keen sense of humour. Her tireless commitment to duty, and her devoted service to Great Britain and the Commonwealth, were an inspiration to us all.
The Queen was a constant, unifying presence through some of the most challenging times we’ve experienced. She was a much admired role model, valued and respected not just in Britain but throughout the world.
