Supporting Our Communities
Solid State plc takes an active interest in how our companies affect the environment and the well-being of society. We take corporate social responsibility seriously, and to give something back to our local communities, we’ve implemented a support programme which will benefit two important charitable organisations local to companies and sites across the group.
Food Banks
Food banks are grassroots, community organisations aimed at supporting people who cannot afford the essentials in life. In these particularly challenging times, the demands on food banks are greater than ever. Solid State has put in place a regular donation scheme to benefit the food banks closest to each of our 8 UK group sites. Regular financial contributions help the food banks to plan ahead and to plug any gaps in the range of products they can provide.

YMCA Worcestershire provides a safe and secure home for young people in crisis. The pandemic has, inevitably, made life more complex, and they have seen mental health deteriorate significantly amongst young people with an experience of homelessness, the care system or family breakdown. Solid State’s sponsorship is contributing towards provision of a safe and supportive environment for young people to grow and thrive, and move on to exploring all that life has in store for them.
