Avoid the extra cost of an additional controller and effort of maintaining multiple applications. Start with a Digi Z45 Industrial Controller and add I/O by connecting Digi Z1201 expansion modules for a solution tailored to your system.
With support for various I/O combinations — relays, digital, analog, pulse, inputs and outputs — the expandable Digi Z1201 I/O module provides monitoring and controlling for use cases requiring unique I/O combinations. On-device logic is supported from anywhere by Digi’s Z45 Industrial Controllers. Our controllers perform simple to medium complexity control logic, similar to that of a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). Unlike a PLC, our controllers are designed for remote, distributed I/O applications in a single end-to-end solution. Data communication between Z45 Industrial Controllers and Z1201 modules is provided by a 2-wire RS-485 connection with addressing and individual pin function established by program control using our Automation Control Application. Digi Z1201 is a 16-pin, multifunction I/O module consisting of 8 collector outputs, and 8 multifunction inputs, each of which can be configured under software control for analog, digital or pulse operation. The module can be daisy-chained for expansion beyond a single I/O module.Features

Microsemi's PD-9002GHO Power over Ethernet (PoE) dual- port Passive Hub offers a cost effective, IEEE 802.3at compliant solution for outdoor installations, guaranteeing 30 Watts of power per port and ensuring safe and reliable operation in outdoor environment for two standard PoE data terminal. Unlike Midspans/Injectors, Passive PoE Hubs perform data connectivity between all its ports, and also deliver PoE to all ports. Unlike PoE Switches, PoE passive hubs do not have active switching components that waste power. It allows wireless LAN access points, security network cameras and other IP terminals to receive power, along with data, over standard Ethernet cables, leaving network infrastructure completely unaltered. The PD-9002GHO also offers surge protection for the AC and the PoE ports ensuring the indoor equipment is protected from outdoor surges.

The SP device can be installed before the cable enters the building to protect the indoor network or immediately adjacent to the wall- or pole-mounted outdoor device (i.e. WLAN AP, IP Camera, etc).
